Pseudagrion (A) fisheri Pinhey, 1961
Dark-tailed Sprite

Type locality: Mwinilunga, Zambia

Diagnosis

Male is similar to P. greeni by (a) being mostly a species of forested or shaded habitats in Katanga, N Zambia, N Botswana and Angola; (b) labrum yellow to orange; (c) seldom pruinose, at most (partly) on thorax and Abd base; (d) antehumeral stripe complete and narrower than half-width of mesepisternum; (e) dorsum S2 and S10 black; (f) paraprocts very long, more than half as long as cerci, gap between cerci wide: often like wrench or spanner; (g) inner border of cerci without basal tooth or toothed flange (dorsal view). However, differs by (1) dorsum S8-9 black rather than blue; (2) upper branch of cerci small rather than huge, reaches about as far as rather deep lower branch. See P. sarepi for separation of that recently described species. [Adapted from Dijkstra & Clausnitzer 2014]
